We aim to support families in providing fun and engaging home learning opportunities to enable you to enjoy time with your child(ren) whilst helping them to learn through play.
Dolphins Pre-school is also a proud member of the Early Years Alliance. Family Corner, the Early Years Alliance's family arm, offers a wide range of exciting sessions for parents and carers who would like to learn more about supporting their children's learning.
Some of you may be familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), England’s framework followed by settings and reception classes. The purpose of the guide is to help you understand more about your child’s development and behaviour by reflecting on the EYFS areas of learning. A range of learning opportunities are highlighted. These ideas show how play and positive interactions can promote effective learning in a fun and informal way. Engaging in fun experiences with your child could ease potential tension at home whilst enabling your child to prepare for school.
